Initial situation

Initial situation

The central and historically significant Luisenplatz in the heart of Potsdam is used as a car park. In preparation for the Federal Horticultural Show, the city is looking for a concept that provides a clever answer to the parking problem and brings the quality of the square back to the fore.

The concept

The concept

A large underground car park creates open space on the surface. At the same time, the entrance and exit ramps can be discreetly integrated into the historic visual axes.

The result

A clear view of the Brandenburg Gate. The centre of the square is once again adorned by a basin with a fountain. A view that could already be enjoyed in the historic gardens of 1855. People in the region are delighted with the new quality of life at Luisenplatz. The underground car park is also highly regarded for its user-friendliness and design language, as evidenced by its award in the ADAC car park test.

The best multi-storey car park is in Potsdam. Bright, clear and affordable. This is what drivers want in a multi-storey car park. It's available, say the testers from the ADAC and point to Potsdam.
